A PURPOSE TO REPURPOSE

A PURPOSE TO REPURPOSE

We love the hype leading up to an event, nerves kick in, stomach's turning and excitement in the air.  On the day our set-up plan is thought out with every flower and prop put into it's exact place for the event.  When everything is in it's place we step back and watch the day's events unfold.

We often see the aftermath of what was an amazing event.  It actually makes my heart happy knowing that we played a part in creating an atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.  One of our favourite things to do now is collecting the leftover florals and repurposing them to create new beautiful arrangements or bouquets.  This idea, inspired by others doing a similar thing, has helped us to extend the joy felt from the event, onto others.

We have delivered repurposed wedding and corporate florals to the following places and what a joy it was to see faces light up when they received their personal floral arrangement or bouquet:

  • Elderly Care, Hutt Hospital
  • Te Omanga Hospital, Lower Hutt
  • Shona McFarlane Retirement Village
  • WelTec HR Team
  • Totara Hospice, Manurewa, Auckland

We feel very honoured to do this on behalf of our clients.  "Spread the Joy" is our way of doing our little bit to make our communities better.

STYLED SHOOT | BOHEMIAN STYLED WEDDING

A Bohemian themed wedding gives you the freedom to channel a childlike and carefree spirit with elegance; accentuated by touches of gold treasures.

We were inspired by the willow-like tree with its playful branches; its presence and movement allowing mother-nature to embrace the wedding party.

We created a unique dream catcher, taking a simple tapestry design flowing down to feathers as leaves that will sway with the wind.

And just like any Bohemian bride with a floral crown, this piece is then topped with a floral chandelier which provides a summer element that is vibrant and full of colour.

Let the magic of mother-nature and your enchanted beauty create everlasting memories.

DIY LOVE | PAINTED CERAMICS

Nothing tastes better than a hot brew of your favourite tea in your newly DIY painted cup.  One of the simplest DIYs we have done but oh-so-pretty and with very little money spent on creating it.

So head on down to your local hardware store and get your supplies and make a whole set of prettiness for your guests to enjoy when they pop over for a chin-wag and a hot brew of their favourite beverage.

Happy Creating and Tute you later :)

Step 1:   Create your design on your ceramic using masking tape

Step 2:   Be sure to give your pot of paint a good stir before you start using it.

Step 3:  The fun part - Paint the areas/design you have taped

Step 4:   Let the paint set for 4 to 6 hours.  Be sure to check the label on the pot of paint for the dry time.

Step 5:   Slowly peel back the masking tape....and voila!

Put on the kettle and ENJOY!  This is a great idea to paint a dish for your wedding rings, charger plates for your wedding reception.  The ideas are endless!
