We've made quite a few of these bow ties in our time so why not share this for our first DIY tute (aka tutorial).  If you're anything like me, you want the simplest and effective ways of doing things.  So here it is a NO SEW bow tie for you to enjoy.

The rectangular pieces can be any size. The bigger the pieces the bigger the bowtie.  The 2 large pieces should be the same size.  The smaller piece acts as a strip in the middle of the bowtie :)

You can purchase these from any craft store.  All materials used in this tute was bought from Spotlight.

Taking 1 large piece, glue down the middle and fold onto both sides in, onto the glue.

Find the centre, and add a spot of glue, then fold in, onto the glue.

Fold in toward the glue and stick down.

Repeat for the second piece of fabric.

Take the small single strip of fabric. Glue down the middle.

Fold one side of the fabric in towards and press down on the glue strip.

Repeat for the other side.

Take your two rectangular pieces and place on top of each other.  Plain side will be the front of the bowtie.  The glued side on the reverse side will be the back.

Place the glued end on one side of the fabric that will be the front of the bow tie, like this.

Pinch the middle of the fabric to start forming your bow tie.

Wrap the strip around the middle of the bow tie.  You can cut a bit off the excess strip.

Fold the excess strip back on itself while creating a loop and glue to the back of the bow tie.

Taking your alligator clip and slide it through the loop.
